cooperations |
The festival is supported by many loyal partner organisations and as a festival, we are involved in a variety of international cooperation projects. Here you can find more information about our work and mission.
Cooperations
The festival is an important meeting place for the national and international circus scene. As a member of the Federal Association of Contemporary Circus (BUZZ), we promote the active development and structural strengthening of the scene.
In order to support the creative process, we realise various projects:
The Berlin Circus Festival is a member of the European platform Circus Next, in which it provides sustainable support for creative processes at a European level, reports internationally on conditions in Germany and establishes partnerships.
From January 2020 to March 2024, the EU project The Sphere ran between the 8 partner organisations worldwide. It is an experimental project for the development of alternative funding opportunities and the creation of a digital creation space. The new EU cooperation project Digital Soul Protocoll is currently starting. Over the next three years, a new Web3 protocol will be developed to give circus artists, venues and festivals the opportunity to involve their audiences more directly as a tokenised community. If you want to know more about this, be sure to sign up for our newsletter.
The Berlin Circus Festival is an alliance partner of the creative alliance Zirkus ON. As part of Zirkus ON, the Berlin Circus Festival offers the selected artists residencies and the opportunity to develop and present their creations at work-in-progress showings or in the official festival programme. As part of the alliance, the festival is committed to the professionalisation and further development of the German circus scene.
Partnerships / Sponsoring
Support the festival and become a co-operation partner. As our partner, you will benefit from unique visibility and direct access to a diverse and engaged audience. Since 2015, the festival has grown steadily from 1500 guests in the first year to 10,000 guests over 12 days. A total of 17,000 people follow us on social media and our website reaches 4,000 people per day during the festival. Show your commitment to art and culture and use the reach for you and your brand.
