“The Smallest Things” is a melancholic and humorous duo that creates a performance out of nothing, right before the audience’s eyes, without a trace of artifice. In this new production, Marc Oosterhoff and Owen Winship take to a bare stage. The two audience favourites from “Lab Rats” and “Natures Mortes” explore the possibilities offered by this minimalist setting. The two performers make use of whatever is to hand. In the empty space, they create feats both small and grand with just a few words and playful acrobatics. The audience can witness live all the tricks that make up the spectacle. The Moost Company, founded by Marc Oosterhoff, combines circus, dance and theatre in its creations – always in search of a non-elitist, playful approach to the performing arts. The Berlin Circus Festival is supporting the new production “The smallest things” with a residency and is delighted to be able to include the work-in-progress in its programme. |
