"Dizzying, Johanne Humblet dances on the wire with the lightness of a feather.” Sud Ouest “Breathtaking! Johanne Humblet takes the audience on a dreamlike stroll.” Dordogne Libre |
Length: 45 minutes
From age of 6 Language: None |
At night and at a height of five meters, the high-wire dancer Johanne Humblet hovers over the Tempelhof field. Accompanied by a raging and instinctive live soundtrack. “Resiste” is reinventing inside the circus tent one of the oldest circus disciplines in a brilliant way. The goal is to spend an hour without a break on the wire and to never let the feet touch the ground. It's not just about the shortest path between two points. On the contrary! Stable and yet fragile, the artist's unpredictable performance grows beyond her own abilities. “Resiste” is the first high wire performance at the Berlin Circus Festival and impresses with an incredible amount of humor, creativity, fantastic music and a lot of surprises. Great fun! Johanne Humblet graduated from the Brussels Circus School and then toured the world with a variety of well-known European companies. After another four years of study, she received her diploma in circus art from the famous Academy Fratellini. |
