Summer is back, and the Berlin Circus Festival #12 opens its doors from 5–16 August 2026

12 days featuring 20 (inter)national companies and 52 shows across five stages, pitching sessions, an international panel of experts, work-in-progress formats, concerts and talks. The uniquely designed festival site, featuring four marquees, offers culinary delights, an exhibition and the festival bar, as well as the chance to meet artists and colleagues in a relaxed atmosphere with warm hospitality.

The festival this year has a catalan focus, realised with the support of APCC and Institut Ramon Llull.

​We look forward to welcoming you to our official reception with international guests. This year’s festival focuses on works from Catalonia, and the reception is being organised in collaboration with representatives from the Institut Ramon Llull and ICEC.

The International Session is a platform for exchange, enrichment and encouragement. Four leading experts will present their organisations and offer valuable insights into international career and networking opportunities. 

​The International session  is designed as a platform for exchange, enrichment, and encouragement, welcoming emerging and established artists as well as professionals of the performing arts, but specifically of the circus scene. Our goal is to create an inclusive environment that fosters meaningful dialogue and mutual learning.

Every company will pitch their creation during six minutes.

​The Circus History Panel offers a unique insight into the history of circus in Catalonia ! In a joint discussion, various participants will explore the parallels and differences in the development of contemporary circus.
