The artistic program is accompanied by a curated program for professionals incl. a pitching sessions of new projects in creation and ready to tour, an international panel and meeting artists and colleagues in a casual atmosphere and warm hospitality.

The International Panel is designed as a platform for exchange, enrichment, and encouragement, welcoming emerging and established artists as well as professionals of the performing arts, but specifically of the circus scene. Our goal is to create an inclusive environment that fosters meaningful dialogue and mutual learning.

During the pitching session we welcome 14 companies to present their ready to tour productions or projects which are still in the creation process. Every company will pitch their creation during five minutes.

international panel – alba sarraute (CAT)

Alba Sarraute is the artistic director of Fira Trapezi, the most important circus fair in Catalonia and one of the strategic events on the circus scene in Spain. With a career spanning more than 20 years as an artist, director and creator, she has developed her own stage language that fuses circus with physical theatre and live music. Her vision is committed to the circus as a tool for poetic and critical expression and as director of Trapezi she promotes contemporary creation, internationalisation and the visibility of the sector. |
international panel – lina b. frank (SWE)

Lina is a producer, programmer/curator and strategic arts consultant from Sweden based in Europe with offices in Lund, SE and Bristol, UK. She works mostly with Contemporary Circus, Cross-disciplinary Arts and Live Art – with bold and brave people, explorers and visionaries at heart. Lina is interested in how art can be used to facilitate democratic participation to challenge the status quo. Currently she is Director of Cirkus Syd (SE), Festival Director of Southern Sweden Circus Festival (SSCF) and member of Circostrada, Culture Action Europe and Future by Lund, as well as, board member of Cirkuscentrum Sweden, and steering committee member of Baltic Nordic Circus Network. |
international panel – māra pāvula (LTU)

Māra Pāvula is the CEO of Rīgas cirks, where she previously served as Head of Strategic Development and Director of the Riga Circus School. She has been involved in the transformation of Rīgas cirks since 2016, driven by a strong commitment to developing contemporary circus in Latvia. Māra regularly produces, writes, and lectures on circus across the Baltics and internationally. Passionate about the social impact of circus, she actively engages in projects promoting international collaboration, inclusion, and sustainability, and has served on the boards of the Baltic Nordic Circus Network and Circostrada. |
international panel – sophia chang (TWN)

Sophia Chang is the International Affairs Manager at FOCASA Circus. Originally educated in filmmaking, she shifted her focus first to touring in the performing arts and has now fixed her gaze on international collaboration and strategic development in the performing arts field.
FOCASA is Taiwan’s first professional contemporary circus company dedicated to advancing circus arts through creation, curation, and cultivation. FOCASA has produced 20 original works and toured to 25 countries with more than 200 shows, including appearances at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and the OFF Avignon Festival. In 2023, the troupe launched Taiwan’s first Circus Arts Festival, featuring 30 international groups and drawing over 80,000 attendees. |
