“Natures Mortes” is what happens when a party never really starts—and yet somehow refuses to end. Set in the aftermath of a New Year’s Eve, the three characters and a dog in a bowtie wander through the surreal landscape of pastel balloons, broken resolutions and cheap plastic wigs. “Simply genius. Each bizarre moment is laced with quiet brilliance, where virtuosity hides beneath casual failure. “Natures Mortes” is a delicious madness—an absurdly comic dinner show that is circus in miniature: intimate, mischievous, and quietly explosive. Companie Moost, founded by Marc Oosterhoff, continues to push the boundaries of circus, dance and theatre with their non-elitist, inventive and genre-defying performances.
