"Memoirs of Mud" is the touching journey of two ladies experiencing life’s diverse and juicy palette as they navigate through muddy terrain. With unique artistry and acrobatic skill, the duo unfolds a universe of dirt and plastic, exploring the polarity of the sanitised and the natural world. Two wannabe farmers turn potatoes into crowns and handbags into greenhouses. They take the audience on an emotional journey from the wide horizon of childlike playfulness to deep despair, speaking about our relationship with our world and with one another. Always united in complicity, the bond of the two women helps us navigate through their fertile imagination – a not to miss adventure: provocative, playful, bold and beautiful. The new production of Sisus is a creative and visual explosion that skilfully unites circus, live-sound installations and performance art. Sisus is an all-female contemporary circus company from Finland. They mesmerise the viewers on stage and share their high level circus skills and quirky humor with the audience. The team of "Memoirs of Mud" consists of Inka, co-founder of Sisus, and Imogen, co-founder of Fauna, who performed at BCF 2017. Both artists have been touring extensively and are now proudly presenting their first duo show. |
