“Gravir” – French for “to climb” – turns the ascent to the top into a playful allegory for friendship, adventure, and the sheer joy of falling. Two women arrive dressed for winter – ski suits, goggles and all – in the middle of summer. With humour, warmth, and impressive aerial skills, they ask: why keep climbing, when we always end up coming back down? Their answer: because that moment of flying – of weightlessness – is simply too good to miss.Between missteps and marvels, crashes and catches, they invent a universe of mountains and make-believe, where flatlands become peaks and failure becomes celebration. With hand-to-hand acrobatics, aerial cradle, banjo tunes and physical theatre, “Gravir” is a lighthearted circus gem for all ages. Les Quat’Fers en l’Air – Garance Roux and Gabi Jouval – met 15 years ago at France’s prestigious CNAC circus school. Since then, they’ve toured successfully with over 300 shows in 10 countries. Always with them: and the irresistible urge to meet their audience wherever they are. |
