monki business "60% banana" (nl)
60% Banana is an optimistic and inspiring view on humanity in a brand-new format: an energetic acrobatic seminar. Around and on top of the 3 chinese poles, Monki connects his stunning acrobatics with Good News to share with us the hopeful developments in the world. 60% Banana is an impressive and touching show, a heart-warming experience that leaves us full of energy, hope and with a message to spread: Let's believe that we can do it, and believe that those around us want it too. So let's go! After his graduation Benjamin, whom everybody calls Monki, created a total of four shows, won several prices and is supported through the Dutch production house TENT. We're beyond happy to welcome the festival favourite back with a show that’s never felt more important. |
o ultimo momento "une partie de soi" (fr, pt)
“Une Partie de Soi” is a quiet, breathtaking journey, a vertical exploration in space. A life unfolds—not in words, but through the quiet power of movement. Seemingly floating, never touching the ground, João Paulo Santos traces a slow, suspended choreography on the Chinese pole. With gravity-defying precision and poetic restraint, he unfolds is not a show of strength, but a deep, moving portrait of vulnerability and grace. Surrounded by silence, slowness, and suspension, the audience is powerfully drawn into a space where gravity becomes poetry. Renowned for redefining the Chinese pole within a contemporary aesthetic, João Paulo Santos has been a pioneer of the form for over two decades. A graduate of CNAC and co-founder of O Ultimo Momento, he has toured widely, collaborating with major European festivals and choreographers while shaping a unique and intimate performance language. |
