FAUNA is a hula hoop dance solo and performative installation, unfolding inside a peculiar ecosystem of fragments of an unknown world: remains, toys, tools, and strange inventions whose meanings continually shift between function, fiction, and autonomous presence.
At the center of this place is the Coyote: a mutable creature moving between animal and human, instinct and programming, adaptation and resistance. In a dystopian, and ironic universe, the Coyote represents a constant shifting state rather than a fixed character, revealing the invisible rules and automatisms that influence contemporary life.
The installation creates a changing scenic environment where objects and structures emerge and interact with the characters. The hula hoop becomes an unstable and multiple material: a system of relationships, trajectories, and spatial structures with which the body is constantly negotiating. Sound and light, movement, and visual elements merge through an eclectic language combining hula hoop manipulation, contemporary dance, theatre, performance practices, and electronic soundscapes.
