At the center of EZRA (duration 30 min) is a motorised rotating platform - a "spinning plate“- measuring 80 cm in diameter.
Constructed from wood and metal and positioned low to the ground, this platform rotates continuously throughout the performance. Two performers remain on this small surface, tightly bound together in motion. As the platform spins rapidly, their movements contrast by remaining deliberate, slow, and controlled. The performers hold on to each other, climb, balance, and morph into dynamic shapes, appearing to hover above the ground in a self-contained, almost dreamlike bubble. The show will be created in a free-standing yurt which can be built outdoors as well as indoors and can be performed twice a day. Inside the yurt, we create an intimate atmosphere between ourselves and the audience. Stage: 80 cm spinning plate
