WHAT IS THE Berlin circus festival

The Berlin Circus Festival is about contemporary circus.
Circus is a kind of art.
It happens every year in Berlin.
The festival takes place on the Tempelhofer Feld.
The festival is about fun, creativity and diversity.
Everyone is welcome.

What can you see?

The festival lasts for 12 days.
There are 3 tents.
There is 1 stage outside.
Artists come from Germany and from other countries.
Some are famous.
Some artists are new.

What can you do?

You can:

• Watch circus shows
• Visit an art exhibition
• Listen to live music
• Join talks and conversations
• Enjoy tasty food and drinks

The festival is a place to meet other people.
You can have fun and be amazed.
Everyone can feel welcome and included.

The festival site opens 90 minutes before the first show of the day.  
There are different types of tickets.

Single ticket (for 1 show):

• Normal price: 23,50 €
• Concession: 18 €
• Kids under 12: 13 €
  
  
  

Combination ticket (for 2 shows):

• Normal price: 44 €
• Concession: 33 €

Special shows:
Gravir (3. + 4. August)
Kiss & Fly (8. - 10. August)

• Normal price: 20,50 €
• Concession: 15 €
• Kids under 12: 10 €
  
  

Who gets a concession?

• Kids over 12
• People with a disability
• People who are not working
• Retired people
• Students
  
  Kids under 3 years do not need a ticket.

You can choose your own seat.
All visitors can sit where they like

Not allowed:

• Dogs that are not service dogs
• Own food and drinks from outside

ACCESSIBILITY

We want all people to enjoy the festival.

We are working to make the festival better for everyone.

We work with experts to do this.

Right now, the festival is only partly accessible.

Tickets:

• People with a disability pay less money (concession).
• A companion can come for free.

Seats:

• There are special seats reserved for people who need them.
• There are benches, not chairs.

Toilets:

• There are accessible toilets.

Food & Drinks:

• You can bring your own food and drinks if it is for medical reasons.

HOW DO I GET TO THE Festival

The festival site opens 90 minutes before the first show of the day.

The festival is on the Tempelhofer Feld.
The closest station is S+U Tempelhof.

Public Transport

• The closest station is S-Bahnhof Tempelhof
  
• It is about 500 meters from the festival.
• The  station has elevators.
• The way to the festival has: audible traffic lights and lowered kerbs (easy for wheelchairs).
  

Other ways to come:

• There is a parking area near the entrance.
• You can walk to the festival.
• You can come by bike.
• There are places to lock your bike.

SHOW: GRASSHOPPERS

31 July – 2 August 2025 at 4:30pm

About the show "Grasshoppers"
​
It is a circus show.
The show is about grass.

Two people are in the show.
They play with grass, boards and ropes.
They throw grass in the air.
The roll and bend the grass.
They do many tricks.

The show shows grass is strong.
People need nature.
But nature does not need people.

 "Grasshoppers" is silly and fun.
It helps us like nature more.

SHOW: NATURES MORTES

31 July – 2 August 2025 at 6pm

„Natures Mortes“ is a funny circus show.
It is about 3 friends and a dog.
They celebrate New Year's.

They sing songs
They play games.
Many funny things go wrong.
They trip and fall a lot.
There are colourful balloons.
They wear funny wigs.

The show shows that mistakes can be fun.
The audience laughs a lot.

„Natures Mortes“ is full of fun and surprises.

SHOW: MEANDER

31 July – 2 August 2025 at 7pm

„Meander“ is a show with dance and circus.
5 artists move together on stage.
They lift, spin and brace each other.

The show is about being together.
Every movement is exact and careful.
The artists show trust and feelings.
The show feels like a trip through the mountains.
The show changes quickly.

The audience feels joy and amazement.

SHOW: EXalté

31 July – 2 August 2025 at 8:30pm
3 August 2025 at 8pm

„Exalté“ is a wild and exciting circus show.
The artist do many tricks.
They fly through the air.
They ride a bike.
They dance.

The show is about fun, being brave and feeling free.
The show feels like a big party
There is a lot of music and movement.

The show tells us mistakes are not bad.
It is good to be brave and have fun.

​„Exalté“ makes people feel good and full of energy.

SHOW: gravir

3 – 4 August 2025 at 5pm

„Gravir“ is a circus show.
It tells the story of two women.
They wear ski suits in the middle of summer.
They want to climb up high.
They always fall back down.
They try again and again.
They have fun doing it.

The artists do cool tricks in the air.
They move in a funny and easy way.

The show is about bravery and trying new things.
It is about joy and friendship.

„Gravir“ is fun for children and adults.

sHOW: open stage

4 August 2025 at 8pm

​The open stage is back !

8 artist show their best acts.
They are from different countries.
Each artist does circus their own way.
Some acts are calm and beautiful.
Some are strong and wild.
All are very special.

You will see aerial tricks, funny scenes and new ideas.
The show is full of bravery, joy and amazing circus art.
The evening will be exciting and full of surprises.

sHOW: HOW A SPIRAL WORKS

5 – 7 August 2025 at 7pm

„How A Spiral Works“ is a circus show.
It is about two women who dance together.
They move in the air and hang on a rope.
They spin around in a circle again and again.
They hold on to each other.
They trust each other.

The show feels quiet and special.
The show is about friendship and sticking together.
The show is about helping each other.
The audience feels calm and happy.

SHOW: Kiss & FLY

8 – 10 August at 5pm

„Kiss & Fly“ is a circus show.
There are 4 artists in the show
They have a lot of fun on stage.
They come on a bike.
They do wild tricks.
They jump in the air.
They catch each other.

The show has funny moments and big jumps.
The 4 artists show that trust is important.
They show that working together is fun.

The show is fast, exciting and fun for everyone.
Children and adults laugh a lot.
Everyone has a great time.

8 – 9 August 2025 at 9pm
10 August 2025 at 8:30pm

„Heavy Motors“ is a circus show. 
The show has 3 funny people and a small car.
They wear colourful clothes.
They do crazy tricks.
They dance, jump and drive around in a silly way.
Many things go wrong on purpose.
The show is full of fun and chaos.
The artists laugh.
They play with the audience.
There are many funny moments.
Even mistakes are funny.
