Contemporary circus is a space of freedom. “The circus landscape is enlivened by a diverse group of people with a variety of artistic expressions (...) (and) we need to nurture and cultivate precisely this diversity.”
On our stages, we pay attention to a balanced representation of different gender identities - with a 50% FLINTA* quota since the beginning. We see representation as an ongoing process that requires reflection and structural change.
Since 2024, an awareness team has ensured the well-being of everyone involved - artists, audience and team - throughout the festival. The aim is to create a safe space in which everyone feels seen, heard and protected.
In order to make art accessible to everyone, we specifically invite social organizations and jointly develop a project for more participation - participatory, accessible and sustainable.
We also reflect internally on our structures and privileges. We train ourselves in anti-discrimination, accompanied by experts.
