"The duo shares an approach that is resolutely human and poetic, sustained by the brother's complicity. A timeless moment of magic." Sonia Legendre
"Soon their breakneck balancing acts on the narrow plank exceed any imagination. They chase each other, growl at each other, but when it comes down to it, their confidence in each other is rock solid." pzazz theatre "BITBYBIT goes far beyond male body images and puts aside superficial virtuosity." Two brothers, connected by a rope, play a suspenseful game of attraction and repulsion. Mischievous, testing and fierce, the two are entirely dependent on each other and push each other to their limits, just inches from the audience. BITBYBIT unites the classic technique of "Jaws of Steel" with a deeply moving and striking visual story about the deep-rooted bond of the brothers Simon and Vincent Bruyninckx of Collectif Malunés. They take us on an emotional journey from mischievous looks to the mythical proportions of love and brotherly discord. BITBYBIT is a pure, powerful tribute to brotherhood, a sensitive and spectacular duet accompanied by a haunting soundtrack that develops an unyielding attraction. Both brother finished circus school in their own disciplines and have created and toured shows successfully since 2010 with Collectif Malunés. Simon has been part of the festival as a team member and performer and therefore we could not be more excited to finally invite him on stage presenting BITBYBIT. |
